[edit]Alteration of earlier mózgi, from Proto-Slavic *mozgъ, from Proto-Balto-Slavic *masgas, from Proto-Indo-European *mosgʰos (“marrow, brain”). Cognate with Upper Sorbian mozy, Polish mózg, Czech mozek, Polabian múzǵë.
