lustmoce
Appearance
Old English
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Uncertain. Apparently from *lust + *moce. The first element may be lust (“pleasure”) or may refer to a different unknown term. The second element is probably related to *moc (“dung, muck”) (found in hlōsmoc (“pigsty dung”)), distantly related to Old Norse myki (“manure, dung”), whence Middle English muk, mok (“dung, filth”), English muck.
