  1. (scouting) scout group (local chapter of Scouts movement)
  2. (military, archaic) The basic fighting unit of Finnish infantry (part of Swedish armies) in 16th and 17th century consisting originally of about 500 men. In early 17th century the army was reorganized, the size of lippukunta was reduced to 200 and subsequently renamed to komppania (company).
