[edit]Inherited from Ashokan Prakrit *𑀮𑁂𑀡𑁆𑀟 (*leṇḍa). Cognate with Dameli [script needed] (lyēṇḍa, “bald”), Southeast Pashayi [script needed] (lenḍá, “bald”), Ashkun [script needed] (lέṇḍe, “bald”), and probably also Kamkata-viri [script needed] (lāṇá, “bald”), Kamviri [script needed] (lāṇá, “bald”), Kalasha [script needed] (lāṇḍra, “hairless”).
