From Latin lēthārgia, from Ancient Greek ληθᾱργῐ́ᾱ (lēthārgíā, sleepiness, drowsiness). Compare French léthargie, Italian letargia, German Lethargie, Spanish letargo, Polish letarg, Russian летарги́я (letargíja).
