2. to pronounce (something written)

   Synonyms: utläsa, uttala

3. to read, to infer (something from something)

   Synonym: utläsa

   What can you read from his facial expressions?

Usage notes

"Jag har läst klart/färdigt boken" could mean that one is done reading the book for now without having finished it, while "Jag har läst ut boken" always means having read the book to the end (usually having read the entire book).
