[edit]Ultimately from a South Slavic descendant of the Proto-Slavic *korľica, compare Bulgarian крали́ца (kralíca) and Serbo-Croatian кра̀љица/kràljica. Likely via Old Anatolian Turkish [Term?] or Ottoman Turkish قرالیچه (kraliçe).
