[edit]From Proto-Albanian *klekā, related to Proto-Slavic *klokъ (“tuft, tow”).[1] Alternatively from Macedonian клек (klek, “mountain pine”) or Serbo-Croatian клека (kleka, “juniper; (dial.) mountain pine”).[2][3]
