  1. (transitive) to place, to lay (to put something or someone in a particular place, usually horizontally)
    Synonyms: umiestňovať, ukladať, dávať

  2. (transitive) to arrange, to install (to position items in an organized way, often as part of construction or installation)
    Synonyms: inštalovať, ukladať
    Na ulici kladú inžinierske siete.They are installing engineering networks on the street.
  3. (transitive) to set, to determine (to establish or define goals, conditions, or requirements)
    Synonyms: určovať, stanovovať, vytyčovať
