Cognates with Mohegan-Pequot kuski (near, by, next to), Munsee kíixkii (near), Mahican kaaxwe (near, close). Possibly cognate with Malecite-Passamaquoddy qihiw (near, close), Menominee kaeqceh (close to, close by, near). May be related to Proto-algonquian *čiᐧki (close to, near).
