[edit]kinka- + -ma; from the same root as dialectal kennäs and probably also related to Estonian kink (“knoll”, genitive kingu); compare dialectal kinka (“pile, heap”), kinko (“lump”), kenkama (“hill, knoll”), kenkku (“hill, knoll”). See kennäs for further etymology (including on the -k- and the vowel variation).
