2000s or 2010s coinage from kans (chance, opportunity) +‎ parel (pearl), parodying real or imagined left-wing or liberal discourse apologetically depicting youths from socioeconomically disadvantaged and non-Western backgrounds as holding great but unrealized potential and promise.
