kakskiv
Appearance
Norwegian Nynorsk
[edit]Alternative forms
[edit]- kakskive, kakeskive (usually a not-phonetic spelling because of apocope removal)
- kakskjiv, kaksjiv (can be considered as a misspelling)
Etymology
[edit]From kake (“cake”) + skive (“slice”). Probably a result of semantic drift cake > bread. Anyway, the word kake itself has no meaning as bread in Trøndersk dialect (at least today).
