isoechinulin (plural isoechinulins)

  1. (organic chemistry) One of a family of similar alkaloids derived from Aspergillus. Isoechinulin A has IUPAC name (3Z,6S)-3-((2-(1,1-Dimethyl-2-propen-1-yl)-5-(3-methyl-2-buten-1-yl)-1H-indol-3-yl)methylene)-6-methyl-2,5-piperazinedione; B has an extra double bond and C has an additional epoxide moiety.
