- (transitive) To graft each upon the other.
- 1910, Charles Orie Couts, Cleft Grafting, page 15:
- Not all fruits can be intergrafted. There must be a relation between stock and scion. In general plants of the same species but of different varieties may be intergrafted, as any variety of apple, plum or pear, upon another.
