ingrossment (countable and uncountable, plural ingrossments)

  1. (UK, historical, law) Prior to the abolition of inrollment in 1849, the act of preparing a parliamentary bill for royal assent by entering it onto a roll, incorporating any amendments.
  2. (otherwise) Archaic form of engrossment.
