     Indeed, our findings support IL17A (rs2275913) and IL6 (rs1800795) polymorphisms as promising markers for PTB risk and indicate the role of IL-6 and IL-17A cytokines in immunophysiology of TB. This novel information of host response to MTB infection can help design more effective vaccines, identify risk populations and new treatment strategies.
