[edit]hypovitaminosis (countable and uncountable, plural hypovitaminoses)
- (biology, medicine) vitamin deficiency: insufficiency of one or more essential vitamins in the body. Specific forms are labeled with the vitamin identifier: hypovitaminosis A, hypovitaminosis D, and so on, although those forms are more often called vitamin A deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, and so on.
