high yo-yo (plural high yo-yos)

  1. (aviation, military) A dogfighting maneuver used by a rapidly-closing attacker to avoid an overshoot during a turn, involving pulling up into a climb to exchange airspeed for altitude and allow the attacker to make a slower, tighter turn and drop back down behind the defender.
