- An officer of the county courts responsible for executing warrants and court orders.
- 1888, Henry D. Barton, Analytical Digest of Cases Published in the Law Journal Reports, Volume 57, page 270:
- Every bailiff duly appointed may serve or execute any process which by any Act passed or to be passed is directed to be served or executed by a high bailiff, unless otherwise specially provided against therein.
- The chief stipendiary magistrate of the Isle of Man, who acts as a judge, including passing sentence, imposing fines, etc.
