[edit]ho- (“space, area, things”) + -di- (“oral”) + ∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -d- (classifier) + -ní (neuter imperfective stem of root -NIID, “to say”).
Like with ní (“he says”), di- deletes in the third person, but only optionally: hodiʼní.
