Etymology
[edit]Coined by English literary critic Stefan Collini in 1999.[1] Popularized in 2018 by James A. Lindsay, Peter Boghossian, and Helen Pluckrose, the perpetrators of the "grievance studies affair".[2]

- (derogatory) Academic fields that are perceived by critics as airing grievances with society rather than rigorously pursuing truth.
