galonner
Appearance
French
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Middle French galoner, of uncertain origin, perhaps from the Old French verb galer (“to have fun, enjoy oneself”), but this is formally difficult since the suffix -onner rarely appears before the 19th century.
