[edit]From Ottoman Turkish گوگسلك (göğüslük, “breastplate; bib; pinafore”), equivalent to göğüs (“breast, chest”) + -lük.

- pinafore, an apron worn by students
- bib, an item of clothing worn by babies around the neck
- apron worn to prevent clothes from getting dirty
