  1. Something which fizzes.
  2. A party or social gathering which turns out to be a disappointment.
    It's probably for the best you didn't come to the birthday party on Saturday: it was a fizzer.
  3. (British Army military slang) A disciplinary charge.
    The soldier was put on a fizzer for being improperly dressed.
  4. (cricket, informal) A fast ball.
