field out (third-person singular simple present fields out, present participle fielding out, simple past and past participle fielded out)

  1. (intransitive, baseball) To go out as a result of a ball caught by the centerfield, left field or right field player.
    Hernandez fielded out in the third inning.
  2. (transitive, military) To deploy (equipment) into the field.
    Those radios have been fielded out to bases.
