1. A form of government in which a particular ethnic group holds a disproportionate amount of government power.

     In this sense, ethnocracy as a socio-political regime is outcome of ethnonationalism, that brand of nationalism that views the nation as a "natural" and ethnically "pure" community, as opposed to its liberal conceptualisation as a community based on equal rights and duties.
