Etymology
[edit]The lyrics are mostly nonsensical in Finnish, but similar children's counting games were described among 19th-century German school children in Prussia and St Petersburg ("Enten tenten, zwei Regimenten...").[1]

[edit]There exist multiple variants with varying regional distribution. One of the most common ones is given below. Most of the below poem is nonsensical, aside from the sixth line, which translates as "Now you'll get out of this game." The next person is pointed to at each word.
