- (pharmacology) A drug C14H15N3O5 that inhibits the breakdown of ʟ-dopa and is used in conjunction with ʟ-dopa and carbidopa in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It is marketed under the trademark Comtan and when used in conjunction with carbidopa and L-dopa, under the trademark Stalevo.
