Inherited from Ottoman Turkish اكرمك. From Proto-Turkic *egir-. Compare to Kumyk ийирмек (iyirmek), Southern Altai ийирер (iyirer), Khalaj heyirmək, Uzbek yigirmoq, Old Uyghur [script needed] (eŋir-) and Northern Altai ийирерге (iyirerge). Compare also Mongolian ээрэх (eerex).
