drekk'

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Norwegian Nynorsk

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

From Old Norse drekka. Due to apocope, the final vowel is shortened while writing.

Verb

[edit]

drekk' (present tense drekk, past tense drakk, present participle drukke or drokke)

  1. (dialectal, Trøndelag dialect, Northern Norway) alternative form of drikke (to drink) (In case of use of "kløyvd infinitiv" it is an e-infinitive verb, because it's got an apocope.)

Oh, it's about time to get drunk now (literally "to drink yourself full now" )
