- (archaeology) A slab forming part of a doorway.
- 1886, Peter Christen Asbjørnsen, translated by H.L. Brækstad, Folk and Fairy Tales, page 58:
- So she picked all the prettiest flowers she could find and strewed them over the door-slab, which they put in its right place again.
- 1928, El Palacio, volumes 25-26, page 119:
- This temple is so called from the two carved limestone doorslabs bearing Maya writing, part of which was read as the date 1014 A. D.
