dihydrostilbene (plural dihydrostilbenes)

  1. A type of stilbene in which the double bond that typically connects the two phenyl groups is saturated, so that the two phenyl rings are connected by a single bond between their carbon atoms.

      Lunularin, a dihydrostilbene, is met with in Marchantia polymorpha (Hop- kins & Perold, 1974) and Conocephalum conicum (Pryce & Linton, 1974).
