[edit]From Proto-Albanian *dʰh₁-teh₂, from Proto-Indo-European *dʰeh₁-, *dʰh₁- (“to place, put”). Cognate to Ancient Greek τίθημι (títhēmi, “to place”), Latin facio (“I do, make”), Lithuanian dėti (“to put”), Sanskrit दधाति (dádhāti), Old English dōn (“to do”).
