[edit]Used in the somewhat dated idiom å få dånedimpen (thus not inflected or even appearing in the indefinite simgular form) which means that the person virtually (rarely literally in contemporary parlance) was about to faint from exhaustion or being overwhelmed, e.g. by some unexpected news. Asserted to be particularly common in use in Bergen.
