     University students in particular became a target for derision. A Republican lawmaker in Iowa, who accused protesters of throwing "temper tantrums," introduced a bill called "Suck it up, Buttercup," which would levy fines against state schools that offered "cry rooms" and other election-specific counseling services (David 2016; Hoover 2016).
