[edit]- (dated) A taxonomic clade within the order Malvales – consisting of members of the non-monophyletic families Bombacaceae, Malvaceae, Sterculiaceae, and Tiliaceae, reassigned into the clades below, distinguished from other Malvales by nectaries composed of glandular hairs, usually on the calyx, and seeds with cyclopropenyl fatty acids.
