churn up (third-person singular simple present churns up, present participle churning up, simple past and past participle churned up)

  1. (transitive) To make the ground uneven, generally unintentionally.
    Just the footfall will churn up the wet turf.
  2. (transitive) To make turbulent.
    The hurricane churned up the ocean.
  3. (transitive) To produce by churning.
    For dessert, I churned up some vanilla ice cream.
