[edit]From English Chiclets (a brand of candy-coated chewing gum made by Cadbury Adams), from chicle (principal ingredient of chewing gum), from Spanish chicle, from Classical Nahuatl tzictli (“gum of the sapodilla tree, chewing gum”).
