[edit]From centraliz(ēt) (“to centralize”) + -ācija (with centralizēt from centrāls (“central”) + -izēt, and centrāls from centrs (“center”) + -āls. Clearly not formed as such in Latvian, but borrowed and adapted from some other European language.
