cattle fair (plural cattle fairs)

  1. An event at which cattle can be shown, bought and sold.

      Goods trains to and from Westport, Ballina, Sligo, overload goods specials (almost a daily feature on the route from Limerick and the south), and livestock specials for the monthly cattle fairs at Claremorris and Ballinrobe constitute the remaining trains.
