Etymology

[edit]

From cant (hundred) +‎ -fed (-th).

Pronunciation

[edit]

Adjective

[edit]

canfed (feminine singular canfed, plural canfed, not comparable)

  1. (ordinal number) hundredth

Usage notes

[edit]

Ordinals following canfed employ wedi'r (past the, after the) as a connecting word, which stands in contrast to cardinals after cant, which use a (and), e.g. cyntaf wedi'r cant (hundred-and-first) but cant ac un (one hundred and one).
