Adjective

[edit]

brîncușian m or n (feminine singular brîncușiană, masculine plural brîncușieni, feminine and neuter plural brîncușiene)

  1. Formerly standard spelling of brâncușian which was introduced in 1953 and deprecated in 1993.

Usage notes

[edit]

Brâncuși (and derivatives thereof) is commonly cited as a personal name conventionally spelled with the letter â exclusively, as per personal preference.[1] Forms spelled with î are well attested in spite of this.
