birth-to-potty (plural birth-to-potties)

  1. (chifely Commonwealth, Ireland, colloquial, rare) Clipping of birth-to-potty nappy (a type of cloth nappy which can be adjusted and lengthened to match the baby's growth, thus allowing the nappy to be worn from around birth (by a newborn) to potty-training age).
    • 2006 December 8, Annette, “Peeweez Recylcled Fitted Review”, in Cloth Nappy Tree[1]:
They are a birth to potty and therefore pretty bulky and being cotton terry they do have a tendancy to go scrunchy in the wash.
    • 2009 April 27, Kate Atkinson, “Road Testing the Real Easy”, in Bucks Free Press[2]:
So, as a product, there's nothing I can really say against this one. I wouldn't say it's a world apart from some of those I've already tried but it certainly does combine some of the better features, and it is slimmer than the birth-to-potties on young babies.
