biliphyte (plural biliphytes)

  1. Any alga of the phylum Biliphyta.
    • 2010, Aharon Oren, Molecular Phylogeny of Microorganisms, page 190:
      An additional photosynthetic lineage that was not formally included in Hacrobia, but has been shown to be related to the cryptophyte/haptophyte clade (Not et al., 2007), is the biliphytes.
