[edit]Maybe a compound of Turkic *bẹńi and Ordos Mongolian [script needed] (aŋgān, “diffuse, careless”).[1] Related to Kalmyk аңхун (añxun). (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.)
