  1. purse-snatcher, cutpurse, pick-pocket, a petty criminal who steals wallets, purses, et cetera
  2. hence metaphorically, somebody charging outrageous prices. "Wat een beurzensnijderij!" (Such price-gouging, such highway robbery.)
