From Tavringer Romani bickna, bäckna (to sell), from Romani bikinel (to sell). and to Hindi बेचना (becnā, sell). Related to Sanskrit विक्रीणाति (vikrīṇāti, to sell) and Pali vikkiṇāti (he sells).
