Maltese
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From Italian urina or less probably Sicilian orina, both from Latin urīna. The initial a- would seem due to a backformation from l-awrina, from Italian la urina with the definite article. (The contraction l'urina was not obligatory in older Italian.)
