1. (psychology) The range of conditions classified as pervasive developmental disorders, generally held to include autistic disorder, Asperger syndrome, and pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS). Also includes childhood disintegrative disorder and Rett syndrome.
